Design Dialogues featured a diverse lineup of speakers this term. Our final project was to design a poster for the lecture series. Our goal was to define a theme for the series and represent it through a retrospective poster. For my poster, I wanted to focus on tension and resistance. I felt that with each speaker, they had a reluctance to identify themselves under a single category, i.e designer, or writer, etc. This was usually true because they were carving out a new creative space to work in, something that did not exist before. I hoped to capture that energy with a swift violent gesture.
